Many times the doctor is the only one involved in the hiring process, but the opinions of your team matter, especially with a provider.
During the hiring process, include other hygienists in the practice and the hygiene assistants they’re going to be working with directly.
They often have a better insight into the team player quality than you will. They get a feel for the person much faster than a doctor will.
Applicants usually show the doctor a little different side of themselves than they show the staff; it’s just a part of human nature. By involving your team, you’ll get more knowledge because your team will see things you’re blind to.
