One of the common challenges we hear from practices is that they have a lot of cancelled and failed appointments.
This is the way of the world today. In the past when patients made an appointment, it was set in stone. People didn’t change them very much. Today, that’s not the way it is. We don’t see of going back to the way it was, either.
There are things we can do to reduce this problem, but we live in a fast-paced society. People connect with each other much quicker than in the past. Now with cell phones, a person’s plans can change at any moment.
That’s both good and bad. It’s bad that you could be left holding a blank appointment. It’s good that it gives you an opportunity for same-day treatment since patients’ schedules are much more fluid than they used to be.
